Rubino molto vivo, integro, compatto.

10 e lode e corro a ricomprarlo.

Terre a Mano 2015 – Carmignano Docg – Fattoria di Bacchereto

I open many bottles, alone and in company (this more often until March 2020) with mixed results in terms of personal satisfaction and/or general quality of the wine. The hidden and never declared aim is to get to uncork bottles like this every now and then. Brilliant, captivating, powerful and at the same time well defined and elegant. Terre a Mano 2015 from Fattoria di Bacchereto which I had not drunk for some years, since an evening in a locally famous restaurant in Pistoia in which the sommelier forgot to bring the wine, Terre a Mano precisely, to the table and in which I never went back.

75 percent Sangiovese, 15 Canaiolo and 10 Cabernet Sauvignon. 26 months in 350 liter tonneaux on the fine lees and then 6 months in the bottle.
Very lively, intact, compact ruby.
Intense on the nose, very Sangiovese and Canaiolo, with penetrating hints of morello cherry and cassis, lavender, blood orange, light hints of blood and tobacco.

Structured, dense and juicy on the palate, widespread and enveloping acidity, it conveys a sense of solid ease. It has a nice tannic texture, depth, precision and durability. In the long finish you can perceive the presence of Cabernet Sauvignon with hints of carob and fruit preserved in alcohol.
10 and praise and I run to buy it again.
